A letter of invitation from the VSO President

Dear Colleague:

Please accept this personal invitation to join the Virginia Society of Ophthalmology. The VSO is a state level non-profit organization whose mission is to advocate the best quality eye care through education, legislative efforts and community service. The Society acts to aid and assist members in their relations with patients, hospitals, medical institutions, governmental agencies and all other groups related to the practice of ophthalmology.

The Virginia Society of Ophthalmology undertakes programs to:

  • Protect your practice from unlicenced practitioners
  • Work to reduce practice costs through better regulations and legislation
  • Provide you with practice management, managed care, and coding information to accurately run your business
  • Work to raise the image of ophthalmologists to enhance and protect your patient base
  • Provide you with forums to interact with your peers
  • Involve you in community service projects

The Virginia Society of Ophthalmology is dedicated to representing you and responding to your needs. The most important reason to join is so that we can stand together. Together we, as a profession, can meet the forces that impact medicine today. Together we, as a state society can continue to fight for quality medical eye care in Virginia. Our commitment is strong, and your active participation makes the organization even stronger.

Sincerely,

Richard Morton , MD
President
