What You Should Know About VSO Annual Meetings and CME Certificates
 

• The VSO DOES NOT maintain records of your CME from annual meetings, coding courses or other functions. It is the responsibility of the attendee to make sure that he/she has submitted a "Verification of Participation" form and "Meeting Evaluation" to the Course Coordinator prior to leaving the annual meeting.
   

• CME Certificates are sent to the address you provided on the Verification of Participation form. Please make sure that your preferred mailing address is entered correctly and legibly.
  
  
• Regretably, The VSO DOES NOT have records for annual scientific meetings prior to 2002.
  
  
• CME Providers usually keep records going back no farther than five years prior. Make sure you have received and safely filed your certificate as soon after the meeting as possible. A duplicate may be harder to obtain after the fact.
  
   
• If you need a CME certificate for the 2002 Annual Meeting in Williamsburg or 2003 Annual Meeting in Virginia Beach, Carilion handled the CME for those programs. Contact Chrissy Cannaday at ccannaday@globalweb.net or 804-261-9890 for more information.

• If you need CME certificates for the 2002 - 2008 Annual Scientific Meetings, please click on the links below for the year(s) you need. Complete the Verification of Participation form for the year(s) in question and fax them to Chrissy Cannaday at 804-261-9891. She will submit these to Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Medicine for your certificate(s). Bear in mind that it can take 4 to 6 weeks to obtain a certificate.  In some instances, there may also be a charge for duplicate certificates, if copies have already been previously mailed to you.
