The Virginia Society of Eye Physicians & Surgeons (VSEPS) acts to aid and assist members in their relations with patients, hospitals, medical institutions, governmental agencies, and all other groups related to the practice of ophthalmology.

Media and Public Service Contacts - to serve as an informational resource about ophthalmology to the Virginia media and to other related public and medical organizations.

Liaison with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and other Medical Organizations - to gain a collective voice in development of policy and programs with the medical community.

Education and Scientific activities - to provide an Annual Meeting for continuing medical education.

Public Service Projects - The Diabetes Initiative and Glaucoma Project.
